Burnham Market Traders Association Fundraising Duck Race on Sunday 5th May 2013
The Burnham Market Traders Association are raising money for the annual Christmas Lights with a number of fundraising events throughout the year. The first of these, on Bank Holiday Sunday 5th May, is a Duck Race. This will be on the Goose Bec, the spring fed stream that runs through the heart of the village at full flow only every seven years.
The 250 bright yellow plastic ducks will go on sale on Saturday 27th April and can be bought from The Hoste or from The Artmonger.
The winner will receive the prize of a hand-crafted, life-size chocolate duck created by The Hoste Head Chef, Gemma Arnold.
